Fun on the slopes with skis or snowboards
Due to the healthy altitude of up to 3,250 meters above sea level, snow is guaranteed and white winter landscapes are all down to nature.
A special attraction is the “Gletscherrunde”! With its 72 km of descents and 15,000 meters of altitude difference, it is a fascinating challenge for a day trip! 227 km of slopes and 59 lifts with a lift capacity of 98,840 people per hour offer a new slope experience every day without waiting times and snow security throughout the year, the powder snow guarantee from October to May and the snow-covered valley runs to Hintertux, Lanersbach and Vorderlanersbach make Tux closed one of the leading winter sports regions in the Alps.
Cross-country skiing or skating
The sports offer in the Tuxertal includes 14 km of classic cross-country trails that lead from Vorderlanersbach to Madseit, and 14 km of skating tracks in Juns/Madseit. Please note the direction of the arrow on the trail! The trail is being repaired by the Tux-Finkenberg Tourist Office and can be used free of charge.
Away from the ski slopes
Have you already tried the many possibilities away from the slopes? The dreamy winter landscape invites you to discover nature in white - each in their own way - whether on a toboggan run or a sleigh ride! Access to all huts is possible by taxi.
Local traffic must be expected on the toboggan runs. Please note the toboggan times!
Ice skating - curling
Experience "Fun on Ice" on the large natural ice rinks in Lanersbach! It doesn't matter whether you venture onto the ice on fast runners or prefer to just watch the children pirouette, fun is guaranteed! Whether small or large - there is something going on here for everyone! The traditional curling also ensures fun and varied hours away from the slopes. 4 curling rinks in Lanersbach offer fun action with "Daube & Stick" for long-distance and target shooting. Have fun - during the day or in the evening - alone, as a couple or in a group! A little tip: We'll take care of the target water!
Winter hiking trails
The 68 km of winter hiking trails, some of which have only been rolled down, paved or cleared, ensure winter variety. The winter hiking trails on the Eggalm, on the Penken or on the Sommerbergalm are a challenge - rustic huts and the panorama restaurants with Zillertal specialties await you as a reward.
Those who prefer to experience the great view comfortably can take the cable cars to the individual mountain stations. Hiking is physical exercise. Muscles, tendons and ligaments are strengthened and the circulation gets going. Blood is being pumped through the body.
