The Zillertal Alps Nature Park offers an attractive program to bring the mountain experience closer to its visitors.
The nature park extends from approx. 1,000 m above sea level to 3,509 m over all altitude levels of the Central Alps. Depending on factors such as altitude, exposure, geological conditions or the history of the origin of the respective location, you will find very different habitats, animal and plant species.
Due to the vertical expansion of the high mountain nature park, the number of habitats is very large and the flora and fauna very diverse. Glaciers cover a significant part of the nature park and have always shaped the landscape.
In addition to the natural factors, people also have a strong influence on today's image of the natural and cultural landscape. His way of life and economy can be read in the landscape and make up the appeal of the varied and romantic mountain landscape, especially in the Alps.
The high mountain nature park offers you a wide variety of opportunities for recreation. Either sportively active with mountain hiking, climbing, mountain biking or enjoyably, comfortably on long walks through the beautiful and varied nature park landscape.
Experience the special features and secrets of the nature park on one of our guided tours in the summer program. Let yourself be enchanted by the glittering world of minerals, by adventurous stories from the time of poachers and smugglers or by the special flair of a torchlight hike.
